Johnny Brady in the Mullingar Park Hotel

Thanks to everyone who bought tickets and those who attended our very successful fundraising event in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Friday night last. Thanks also to everyone who supported the raffle on the night by buying tickets and providing prizes. Thanks to both the Turin Hurling Club and St. Munnas Camogie Club committees who worked so well together to coordinate the event. A great night was had by all.
 

Turin Registration

Registration is now due for all members. Players are not insured to play unless registered. Rates are €20 for u18, €50 adult, €50 Family, €20 Social member Contact Rachel McGrath for underage or Damien Keogh to arrange payment .
 

Training

Turin Indoor Hurling continues on Wednesday 6th March in Killucan Hall.

Under 8 from 6:30-7:15pm (born 2011, 2012, 2013)

Under 10 from 7:15-8pm (born 2010, 2009)

New players welcome.

Helmets and hurleys supplied.

€2 to cover hall hire.

Hurling Foundation Course

A Hurling Foundation Course is planned for Westmeath to run in Clonkill to the following schedule (with an online element to be completed also):-

Wednesday, March 20th 7.00-9.30pm

Wednesday, March 27th 7.00-10.00pm

Wednesday, April 3rd 7.00-10.00pm (Child Protection Workshop)

Sessions are a mix of theory and practical work so where possible, coaches attending should come in track suits. To complete Foundation, all must

(a) complete online element after session one (as well as the ‘contact’ sessions detailed)

(b) attend a ‘Child Protection in Sport Awareness Workshop’ on April 3rd – if not already completed.

> There is no cost attached to the course.

> Certification: All who attend the entire course will qualify for the ‘Hurling Foundation Coaching Award’ plus the ‘Child Protection in Sport Awareness Workshop’ Cert.

> The course is limited to an attendance of 24 (first come, first served!)

Bonus Ball

All outstanding payments need to be settled for our bonus ball draw. The draw is switching to a standing order payment and forms will be given to all participants to complete.
 

Christy Doyle Memorial Tractor Run

Turin Hurling Club are hosting our annual tractor run in memory of Christy Doyle on Sunday the second of June. A donation from the event will be going towards the MRI unit in Mullingar.
