AGM was held Saturday January 5th in Clubhouse to celebrate the successes of 2018, Almost all outgoing officers were re-elected unanimously in recognition of their hard work in previous twelve months which was highlighted and applauded by all in attendance.
Minor Board Chairman Tom Stone was stepping down after his years of high achievements, and Tom was warmly and earnestly applauded for his contribution in steering an interesting and busy underage structure in recent years.
Paul Higgins was elected as Minor Board chairman and Paul is already a familiar figure in the Castledaly under age set up, training our youngest future superstars in recent years as well as his involvement on the organisational side of operations.
Castledaly Fit Club continues each week Monday Wednesday Friday with ladies classes at 7 and gents at 8pm under the expert guidance of Liam Lorcan and Paulette.
The Walking Track lights are on from 8 to late for club members who are looking for safe environment for their daily walk at this darker evenings time of year. It is always great to see people making use of this wonderful facility, often followed by quality time at the playground with our smallest stars.
After last year's success the GAA return with the Lighting Up Ireland project in league with RTE Operation Transformation.
Castledaly GAA Walking Track will be lit up each Thursday from 7.30pm to 8.30pm from 17th January for six weeks to help everyone kick start their New Year fitness goals. Studies show the great benefits that walking 30 minutes each day or several times each week can have, and walking within a group has great benefits as well as being great fun -
