Scór na nÓg
The second semi-final in this years competition took place on Sunday evening in Milltown and our Rounders club were represented by Caoibhe Geraghty in the solo-singing competition. This was Caoibhe's first time to take to the Scór stage and she performed brilliantly with a beautiful version of The Cliffs of Dooneen. Similar to last week, there was a large number of entrants, and unfortunately Caoibhe didn't qualify on this occasion but she has a bright future ahead and we were all very proud of her performing in front of a packed Milltown hall. This semi-final took place under a cloud of sadness following the sad passing of long time Scór secretary, Rose Longworth. Rose was the most prominent person in Scór during it's fifty years in Westmeath and she worked so hard behind the scenes. She will be very sadly missed by everyone who knew her. We extend our deepest sympathy to her family at this sad time. May she Rest in Peace.
Scór na nÓg County Final
The county final takes place on Sunday next in Ballymore at 2pm. We have three acts participating - Jemma Seery in Solo-singing, Shane King in recitation and our instrumental music group consisting of Emma O'Brien, Ellen Daly, Anne Reynolds, Sean and Rose Macken. We wish them the very best of luck and we hope to see a large turnout of local support to cheer them on!
Our Annual Table Quiz takes place on Friday 7th December in Wallace's Bar and Lounge, Dalystown. This is our final fundraiser event of the year so we hope to see a large turnout of players and members on the night.
