Rory O'Connor will be in action for the Wexford U21 hurlers tomorrow night and the seniors on Saturday.

On Wednesday night at O'Moore Park, the Model County lock horns with Galway in this year's Leinster U21 HC final. And, on Saturday night, Davy Fitzgerald's seniors take on Westmeath in a preliminary All-Ireland SHC quarter-final in Mullingar.

"For me it's grand, I'm young and I can run off a knock and get on with it but older guys are feeling the knocks," he tells The Irish Independent. "But as a player you love playing matches all the time, you're not training 24/7.

"The U21 management have confidence in the senior management that we're getting good training, obviously playing at a higher standard, so once we come back we are always in good nick."
