Juniors loose out at home to Moate
St. Pauls 2-09 Moate 1-15. It was a disappointing outcome from last Monday nights league game played in Clonmellon. A 4 point half time deficit for Pauls was quickly turned around early in the 2nd half with goals from Conor Shaw and David Smith however Moate finished the stronger to win out by 3 points. Next up is a league clash with Athlone in the league this weekend (date & time to be confirmed) before our Championship campaign begins the following week.

Juvenile details
Well done to our Under 8's and 10's on some fine displays of football when they traveled over to Athboy to take on their Clann na nGael counterparts in a blitz last week. Well done to our super St. Pauls U-10 team who recorded two great wins against Delvin and Killucan in last nights Blitz in Ballycomoyle. Thanks to all the players who took part, their parents for making the trip down to Ballycomoyle and especially the coaches Ronan & Lenny for all the hard work they put in with the lads. After this evenings blitz one parent told me "the football the lads played was better and more entertaining to watch than the Fermanagh - Monaghan match at the weekend!!". That's says it all really - well done again to all

Gaelic for Mothers and Others
Well done to our Gaelic for Mothers and Others who played their 1st ever game against Meath side Moylagh last Wednesday evening at our club grounds in Clonmellon. This group of committed and hard working players have really done the club proud with their commitment and drive at training for the last 2 months and this showed with an excellent performance by all against their more experienced opposition on Wednesday evening last. A big thank you also to Moylagh for coming up to Clonmellon for the game.

Condolences
St. Pauls GFC would like to offer its condolences to the family and friends of the late Willie Farrell, Clonmellon who sadly passed away recently. Willie, who was originally from Dublin and was the grandfather of our U-12 player James McKenna, was a lovable character and he will be missed by all who knew him.
We would also like to offer our sympathies to the family and friends of the late Patricia (Patsy) McNamee who also passed away recently. Patricia's son Tommy is a former St. Pauls player and her great-granson Cayden currently plays on our U-10 team. We offer our condolences to her son's Tommy, Jimmy & Padraig, her daughter's Marie, Patricia & Imelda and her extended family as this sad time. May they both rest in peace.
