Ballinagore GAA Notes

March 05, 2018

Storm Emma

Activities on and off the field took a brief hiatus last week as nature took control and put the country under a blanket of heavy snow. Our opening U16 league game against Athlone was due to take place on Sunday but was postponed as was the national rounders training course scheduled to take place in Ballinagore also on Sunday. Well done and thanks to all who helped out clearing the roads, many of which were totally impassable. With the thaw on, activities will kick off again this week. In the meantime, we want to remind all our members to take their time on the roads during the thaw as many of our roads are piled with snow along the sides which will lead to floods in places or indeed large deposits of snow falling back onto the roads as it melts.

ACFL Divsion 3

Our opening league fixture in ACFL Division 3 takes place on Sunday 11th March at 11am away to Garrycastle and we wish the lads the best of luck as we hope to kick off our season with a win.

Club Lotto

Last weeks lotto draw was postponed due to the adverse weather. It has been rescheduled for this Tuesday when the jackpot will be €2700. Please support our club lotto for just €2 a week and you can be in with the chance to win our jackpot!

Congratulations

We want to send our congratulations and best wishes to Padraic Durkan and Niamh Guilfoyle who got engaged over the weekend!
