JFC v Multyfarnham

After months of waiting, we finally open our 2017 JFC campaign against Multyfarnham in The Downs next Sunday morning, July 23.

The first round clash is a repeat of last year's semi-final which we won in dramatic circumstances. Multy come into the tie on a high after winning Division 4 of the All-County League, whereas we had a mixed Division 3 campaign. The game throws in at 11.30am and forms part of a JFC double-header with St. Paul's v Ballynacargy, which follows at 1pm.

Ladies football

Our ladies footballers suffered their second defeat in this year's intermediate championship to The Downs in Kilbeggan last Thursday evening. Next up is Delvin / St. Paul's in a couple of weeks with a semi-final to follow.

Team: Eimear Fox; Jennifer Barrett, Gillian Heeney, Deirdre Robbins; Becky Scally, Joanne McCormack, Lorraine Claffey; Edel McCormack, Aoibhinn Jackson; Anna Wrafter, Laura Hannon, Jill Draper; Aideen Pettit, Becky Ennis, Niamh Durkan. Subs: Grace Kiernan, Aine Pettit, Tara Fox, Orla Brennan and Katelyn Dinnegan.

Last week's lucky numbers were 7, 11, 18 and 27. May Maloney was the only match three winner. This week's jackpot is €8,750. Thank you for your continued support.

New committee member

We would like to welcome Martina Rochford onto our committee. Martina's co-option comes after she coordinated our very successful 'A Night at the OsKaRs' fundraiser last month.
