O'Sullivan proud of charges

December 07, 2016

Ballyduff Lower manager Neil O'Sullivan has stressed that his charges can be proud of their efforts this year.

Last Sunday, their season came to an end when Mayfield of Cork defeated them in the Munster club JHC final.

It was a close fought battle, but the Cork side just had enough to see them over the line.

Despite the defeat, O'Sullivan hailed the effort of his players throughout the course of the year.

"We told them that there was no reason to hang their heads. They've had a brilliant year," O'Sullivan told the Waterford News & Star.

"They've done the club proud and the county proud as far as I'm concerned. They put it up to Mayfield for as long as they could there.

"They didn't let anyone down. They're a tremendous bunch of fellas to work with all year. They've a short break now and they can get back in and look forward to the intermediate championship next year."
