Clare forward Conor McGrath is in no doubt that Waterford will step up their level ahead of the Munster SHC clash between the sides in three weeks' time.

The sides will meet for the third time in a little over a month when they clash in the Munster SHC on June 4th.

Last weekend saw Clare come out on top in the NHL final after a replay, but McGrath told the Clare Champion that game will have no comparison to the championship clash between the sides.

"We are delighted to have won and we would have preferred to have won it than not," said McGrath.

"It doesn't mean that we will win the next one. It's great to have a big match to look forward to in four weeks against a great Waterford team.

"They will probably go up a couple of notches in the next few weeks. We will have to match them to try and beat them. Both teams will have a few coming back from injury. It should be a great match again."
