McGlinchey left frustrated

Waterford manager Tom McGlinchey admits that they have suffered too many narrow defeats in recent times.

The Deise went down to Wicklow by two points in their opening National League Division 4 clash and McGlinchey admitted to the Waterford News & Star that it is frustrating to play well and lose again.

"The application was second to none but here we are again with another two point defeat," said McGlinchey. "We have to get on the other side of them. There's just too many of them at this stage. There's nothing wrong with the attitude of the lads, it's just to get over that winning line."

McGlinchey knows that Louth will provide another stern test at the weekend, and he has urged his players to go into the two-week break with two points in the bag.

"They are coming down to our patch but we'll have to make it as difficult as possible. The fact that they have two points on the board makes them favourites obviously and a Division 3 team coming down makes them favourites to get out of the division.

"It is going to be hard but we'll be ready for it and we'll do everything in our power to win it."
