Waterford defender Noel Connors admits he is looking forward to chilling out after a long hard tough season.

Connors gave a slight insight to life as an inter-county hurler as he admitted that it was difficult to sit down and unwind with family or friends during the height of the GAA season.

Speaking to the Waterford News & Star following the defeat to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final last weekend, Connors stressed that they would take stock of the year in the coming weeks and look at ways that they could improve.

"I reckon we'll be talking about it together over the next few days and have a good chat about it, as there's great camaraderie in this group," said Connors.

"In the heat of battle, it's difficult to go out and enjoy yourselves and be with family, boyfriends and girlfriends and so on, but we'll be doing that in the next few days when we're socialising or having a cup of coffee together, talking about getting that extra ten per cent out of ourselves more so than anything else."
