Waterford manager Derek McGrath is adamant that whoever they face in the next round of the qualifiers will provide a stern test for them.

The Déise must wait for the outcome of Saturday's All-Ireland SHC qualifier replay between Wexford and Clare to see who they will face in the next round.

McGrath was pragmatic in his assessment of who his charges will be facing as he feels that all teams left in the championship are strong.

"We are going to be meeting the All-Ireland champions or we are going to be meeting the team that beats the All-Ireland champions," McGrath told the Waterford News & Star.

"That's not dampening expectations for ourselves. It's going to be a massive task. Whoever, it had been Tipperary, Offaly, Clare or Wexford, would have been a difficult task."
