Munster Club SFC: Hurney and O'Halloran point the way

Goals from Jason O'Brien and Mark Ferncombe saw Waterford's Ballinacourty edge past Drom-Broadford of Limerick in the Munster Club SFC quarter-final at Fraher Field.

The goals arrived in the first half and the hosts led by 2-3 to 0-5 at the midway stage.

A point from Mark Fives extended the lead to five points shortly after the restart but the visitors clawed their way back into contention.

Two late points from Gary Hurney and Michael O'Halloran edged Ballinacourty over the finishing line with their noses in front.

Ballinacourty now look forward to a semi-final meeting away to the Clare champions.
