The official Launch of the inaugural camogie Academy will take place in Carraiganore on this Wednesday May 14th. This is an initiative driven on by De La Salles Joey Carton, in conjunction with the Carraiganore National Centre of excellence for hurling and camogie. This academy is aimed at developing both the U14 and U16 County teams with the aim to develop the minor and U12/U13 teams as well over the next three years. The Academy is to take place every second Wednesday over the coming two months which will help in the developing of the various skills and diet in camogie. On the night of the Launch members from Munster Camogie Council, members of the County Board along with members of the County's Intermediate camogie team will be in attendance. Waterford is one of the first Counties to take this initiative on board.
