Burns wary of Tipp test
May 10, 2012
Waterford minor manager John Burns knows his side will face a tough test in the Munster semi final.
Following their exciting extra time win over Clare last week, Waterford earned themselves a place in the semi final where they will face Tipperary at Semple Stadium on June 29th.
Given that the leaving cert exams put a halt to the championship, Burns has plenty of time to work with his charges ahead of the match and he admitted to the Waterford News & Star that they have plenty of work to do.
"We played Tipperary about four weeks ago in a challenge game and they gave us a lesson in hurling," admitted Burns. "We know the challenge that we have, but like this one we will be up for it when the time comes and if we get the performance we will be there or thereabouts."
