Following last weekend's opening round senior football championship results, the interest in the next phase of matches has reached fever pitch.

Both the defending champions Ballinacourty and last year's beaten finalists Stradbally were defeated in the first round of group matches.

This weekend, they are back in action knowing that another defeat will effectively end their campaigns for the year.
