Barney takes charge of Colligan
January 05, 2012The Rockies, who were surprisingly relegated to junior status last year, will be setting out to win the Waterford IHC at the first attempt and the appointment of former Lismore hurler Prendergast signals their intent.
Prendergast will demand 100% from the players at all times and could well prove to be the right man to spark a Rocky-like recovery for the Rockies.
Interestingly, Barney's brother Paul managed neighbours St Mary's, Touraneena last year so it will be intriguing should the two siblings end up crossing paths as managers of these rival clubs in the months ahead. Tweet
