Fitz not getting carried away

Waterford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald
Waterford manager Davy Fitzgerald stressed that one result does not make a summer as the Clare native plans for the remainder of the NHL.
The Déise surprised many by hammering a Dublin side that had genuine designs on winning the league, even though they were minus the services of at least ten first choice players.
The win sets them up nicely for this weekend's clash against Galway and Fitzgerald admits that every player is playing for his place on the squad this year.
"Look we have every reason to be pleased with the way things have gone to date, but no one is being carried away, least of all myself," said Fitzgerald.
"Yes, it will be great to have all of the players available for selection but believe me no one will be selected on reputation. Current form will be the deciding factor in who starts and who does not, and in that regard it will be a level playing field for every member of the panel."
