Waterford hurlers will have joint-captains in 2009, after Davy Fitzgerald decided to share out the team-leading responsibilities. Veteran Ken McGrath will have the honour of leading the Decies into action in conjunction with relative newcomer Stephen Molumphy. Waterford ended years of semi-final heartache in 2008 by clinching a place in the All-Ireland senior hurling championship final. Unfortunately, the mighty Kilkenny three-in-a-row heroes proved far too strong for a nervous Deise side on the day - but McGrath and Molumphy will be hoping to co-lift some silverware in the months to come.
