The Nire are still on track for their first back-to-back Waterford SFC success in 25 years.

The Ballymac’ men have won six county titles since beating Gaultier in the 1994 decider but haven’t managed to retain the title.

The game is part of a double header, which also includes Kilmacthomas V Brickey Rangers in a relegation play-off at 5.30.

The three other quarter-finals this weekend are Rathgormack V Gaultier in at eastern derby at Kill on Sunday at 3pm, Ballinacourty V Kilrossanty at Fraher Field on Friday at 8.30 and Stradbally V Clashmore Kinsalebeg at Fraher Field on Saturday at 8pm.
