Oisín CLG Manchester Club Notes

January 24, 2012
Oisín's men's senior and junior teams begin our season tonight the 24th Jan at 7:30pm sharp. Training will take place at our clubhouse Old Bedians, Millgate Ln, M20 5QX. The session will include all the usual pre-season work outs and we have been lucky to secure the services of a professional strength and conditioning coach this season. He works with elite athletes on a daily basis so should be of great benefit to the club in terms of fitness and recovery, especially in the early stages of the year. Training will be on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30pm at Old Bedians.

Management for the year will be taken by Níall Farren and Liam Molloy with Tommy Hanvey as selector.

We have a number of pre season challenge matches coming up,

19th Feb: Ladies V Wolfe Tones 1pm, Men's Senior V Wolfe Tones 2:30pm at Old Bedians.
26th Feb: Junior V St Barnabus 12pm, Senior V St Barnabus 1:30pm at Old Bedians.

These games should be a good run out for the club before we make the trip across to Dubai for the Gulf Gaelic Games at the end of March (http://dubaicelts.com/)

Oisín CLG are always looking for new players for both their mens and ladies teams. Founded in 1904 we are the oldest club in the North West. We are the only club in the North West to play on a non council owned pitch and we have our own clubhouse beside the pitch which includes bar and changing facilities.

If you are new to Manchester or the North West then we will always try and assist you in finding employment, accommodation and transport to training.
