John Mitchels held a very successful "Be Happy Like Paddy" social night at the Liverpool Irish Centre on Friday 26 February. The club raised a large sum from the raffle of the All-Ireland Framed pictures, which was won by Shaun Carter. The following medals were presented on the night:
(1) Lancashire Junior Championship Winners
(2) Pennine League Winners
(3) Lancashire Senior League Winners
(4) Lancashire Senior Championship winners
The night was rounded off by a presentation of Replica Jerseys from the All-Ireland Junior Final 2009 runners up team, with special guest Shane McCann flying in for the occasion.
On to more important matters, John Mitchels Mens Juniors and Seniors have commenced training for the 2010 campaign. Training continues tonight at 7pm at Greenbank and again on Tuesday 9th March at 7pm. All new players are invited to attend. Transfer forms are available from Club Secretary, Conall Reddin.
All are reminded that membership of £30 is required before 31 March 2010. All playing members must pay their membership if they are to train and play with the club.
Players and supporters alike are reminded that the Liverpool Mens John Mitchels team commence their defence of the Pennine League on Sunday 7th March 2010 away to Oisins (Old Bedians Ground). Please contact Rory Hollyoak, Danny McDonagh or Barry Morris regarding travel arrangements.
