Dunning in upbeat mood

London football manager Noel Dunning is optimistic about the forthcoming intercounty season. The Roscommon native feels the Exiles could produce their strongest hand in years in 2010: "The response has been great. All the players I've spoke to are very keen and eager to be involved, and they're showing that when they're on the training pitch. "We have the nucleus of last year's panel, which is the first time that has happened since I've been involved. "That's going to be a massive help, not only in terms of building team morale and spirit that was there the year before but also in knowing what they're capable of after the performances late last year. "We've brought in some intercounty players from Ireland and that can only be good and will rub off on our players. They'll see the standard they're at and hopefully will try to emulate it." There have been 30 players out training regularly with the Exiles so far this year, excluding the Tir Chonaill Gaels representatives who were - up until last weekend - concentrating on their All-Ireland club championship exploits.
