Members of Dublin's All-Ireland winning football team jetted out to New York yesterday for the annual Ireland/US Council dinner which they were guests of honour at last night.

Thanks to Aer Lingus, Dublin stars such as Bernard Brogan were able to bring the Sam Maguire along to the event in The Metropolitan Club, which was the Council's 49th annual dinner.

It's the second time Sam has crossed the Atlantic in a matter of weeks, having accompanied centre back Ger Brennan to a GPA function in the Big Apple last month. Tweet
