Award delights Robbins

October 31, 2014

Warwickshire hurler Conor Robbins admits being named on the Lory Meagher Championship XV was the highlight of his career.

The Offaly native was one of three Warwickshire players named on the team along with Cormac Behan and Dwayne Sheedy.

Speaking to the Irish Post, he said: "This is a good thing for Warwickshire and it was a great experience to be in the room with the cream of the crop in hurling.

"There were awards when Warwickshire won the Lory Meagher in 2013, but this is my first. There are good players coming over all the time, so yeah I think it will continue, but my aim is to get back to Croke Park for the final next year."
