London championships to return to old format

October 31, 2014

There will be no round of winter championship games in 2015.

That is the verdict of the London board who had trialled the new format over the course of the last two years.

However, the club championships will return to their normally start dates of summer time from next year, meaning that both county managers could be without new players next year.

The scheduling of winter championship games was to allow new players play for their clubs before lining out for London in the championship.

Croke Park directives stated that a player must play in the county championship before lining out at inert-county level.
