The opening round of the league saw Limerick, Carlow, Clare and Waterford all chalk up wins in Division Four.

Limerick eased to a 0-17 to 1-4 victory over London at Ruislip while Carlow opened their account with a 1-10 to 0-10 win over Longford at Dr Cullen Park.

Gearoid Lynch's goal helped Clare to a 1-9 to 0-11 defeat of Wicklow in Ennis and Waterford made it a great day for Munster counties in the lower division with a brilliant 0-13 to 0-10 victory over Leitrim in Ballinamore. Tweet
