Warwickshire 2-10

Donegal 0-14

Second half goals from Emmet McCabe and Kelvin McGee proved crucial as Warwickshire retained their Allianz Hurling League Division 2B status with a thrilling victory over favourites Donegal at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

Donegal led by 0-8 to 0-4 at half-time thanks to points from Declan Coulter, Ciaran Mathewson, Lee Henderson, Kevin Kealy and Jack O'Loughlin.

But the Exiles, who had endured a tough campaign up to now, levelled shortly after McCabe's goal brought them back into contention early in the second half. The sides traded points thereafter before McGee's 54th minute goal gave Warwickshire the lead for the first time and they held on for victory after that.
