Support for injured star Brian McGuigan

April 13, 2007
GAA personalities from all over Ireland are set to throw their weight behind a support-event for the injured Tyrone All-Ireland winning footballer Brian McGuigan. The former All-Star suffered a fresh injury setback in his long road back from recovery from a broken leg, and an organisation has been set up locally to assist him through a difficult time. The popular county player has had to undergo surgery for a second time after complications set in at an advanced stage to his recovery from a broken led, meaning another extended absence from work. McGuigan underwent keyhole surgery on the ankle problem related to the double break a fortnight ago, just when it appeared he was nearing full fitness again. His many friends in the GAA world in Tyrone and throughout the country wish the popular Brian McGuigan a speedy recovery from his latest injury setback, and hopefully he will play a prominent role in the championship this season.
