Mattie McGleenan has described Sunday's Ulster club SFC semi-final between Scotstown and Trillick as an "opportunity of a lifetime" for both teams.

The Scotstown manager and former Tyrone star told the Irish News: "I think this is an opportunity of a lifetime for both sets of players on Sunday. It's 25 years since Scotstown were in an Ulster final, and it's a long time since Trillick were in the final."

Trillick were surprise winners of the O'Neill Cup in Tyrone this year, but there is no danger of their Monaghan counterparts underestimating them, according to Eglish man McGleenan.

"Trillick haven't got the semi-finals by chance. They have Lee Brennan and I've watched Lee mature through MacRory Cup football the last few years and he is a tremendous talent.

"Daire Gallagher is playing really well. We've played Trillick in friendlies over the last two or three years. We always had great workouts against them, so they know us.

"They have a high skill level and work really hard for each other. We have to play better than them on Sunday - it's that simple."
