Mickey Harte says he is still heartbroken after his daughter's murder in Mauritius in January 2011.

Michaela Harte was on honeymoon with John McAreavey when her life was taken from her in the newlyweds' hotel suite. Over four years later, nobody has been convicted of her killing.

"I still miss her so, so much and in human terms, your heart is broken," he told Pat Kenny in a one-hour interview to be broadcast on UTV Ireland tonight.

"But on a higher level, I just feel there is a special connection. I can only just believe that's the work of God and the work of Michaela - because she had such a belief.

"That gives me great help because she so believed in God and believed that was her purpose in life, to work her way towards God."

The programme Pat Kenny In the Round airs at 9pm.
