London football manager Paul Coggins has made an impassioned plea to the media to respect the privacy of Cathal McCarron.

The former Tyrone star, who transferred to the Exiles at the start of the year and has been a regular starter for them in the Allianz League, has been in the headlines today following his involvement in an explicit video which appeared online yesterday.

"My wish is that Cathal and his family are given space and time to be together. I have no further comment to make after that," Coggins told the Irish Post newspaper.

A number of GAA players have taken to Twitter to rally around McCarron and express their disgust at the treatment the 26-year-old has received from certain sections of the media.
