Tyrone recently came close to losing their lucrative sponsorship deal with Target Express, today's Irish Daily Star reports.
The €350,000 deal with the Fermanagh-based courier company, which covers all Tyrone football and hurling teams, was in doubt up until a last-minute payment was made before Tyrone's recent Ulster minor league victory over Derry. It's understood that the Red Hands will continue to wear the Target Express logo on their jerseys until the end of the season when a new sponsor is likely to be sought.
Meanwhile, Tyrone captain Stephen O'Neill isn't expecting anything easy from Armagh when the neighbouring counties meet in their eagerly-awaited Ulster SFC quarter-final on June 10.
"We never have an easy game against Armagh," he said in the Irish News.
"There's a great rivalry between the two counties. It'll be a tough game - it's in the Athletic Grounds so there'll be a great atmosphere and hopefully it'll be a real cracker. It's going to be very tough, they've a strong, good defence.
"They're forwards have done well too, they've shown they can score against the best in the country, Kerry and Cork and that, so it's not going to be easy."
