Harte to lead Tyrone into championship battle

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte
Mickey Harte will forego his daughter Michaela's murder trial in Mauritius to lead Tyrone into their Ulster SFC quarter-final against Armagh next month.
The trial of Avinash Threebhowon and Sandip Moneea on a charge of murdering tragic Michaela, which took place 17 months ago while she was on honeymoon with her husband John McAreavey, is due to begin in the Mauritian capital Port Louis on May 22, but her heartbroken dad is expected to stay in Ireland and take charge of the Red Hands against Armagh in the Morgan Athletic Grounds on June 10.
"It's my understanding that he will not be travelling to Mauritius for the trial," Tyrone PRO Damien Harvey told the Irish Daily Star.
"His focus at the moment is the football and I would expect that he will be leading us into the match. There is a management structure in place in the event of changes, but knowing Mickey, he would be very keen to take Tyrone into the first match."
The three-time All-Ireland winning manager last week agreed to manage Tyrone for another three years.
