Kieran McGeeney has described Tyrone as the Barcelona of gaelic football.

Armagh man McGeeney will pit his Kildare side against Mickey Harte's Red Hands in Sunday's NFL Division Two decider at Croke Park. He tells The Irish News that the O'Neill County have pretty much perfected the style of play his own players embrace:

"We probably have a similar style to Tyrone but it's fair to say that they have been better at that particular style than anybody else.

"They never really worry about the midfield battle because it is their counter-attacking system that they really work hard on.

"They break it down in the final third - probably not unlike Barcelona - they push into the spaces that are left behind them and they are very good at it." Tweet
