Tyrone's Mark Donnelly says the league final is "great preparation" for the championship.

Sunday's Division Two decider sees Mickey Harte's men lock horns with Kildare at Croke Park in a match that'll complete both teams' pre-championship competitive programme.

"It will be great preparation going into the championship against Armagh. You can't beat the likes of that," the O'Neill County attacker tells The Irish News.

"What better preparation could you get for a championship match than a league final in Croke Park? Everybody wants to be in the first 15.

"There's over 35 on the panel and only 15 can play, so everybody is fighting to get on that team for the final and that's what's pushing us on at the minute.

"With the momentum of winning every game, everybody is on a high at training and there's a great buzz.

"If we're winning games, everybody wants to get playing and the competition for places is great at the minute - and that's driving people on."
