Harte rallies his troops

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte
Mickey Harte is urging his squad to redouble their efforts following Tyrone's double injury KO.

Kyle Coney and Tommy McGuigan were yesterday ruled out for the season, joining Ronan O'Neill on the sideline for the rest of the year. Speaking in The Irish News, the O'Neill County boss says the losses present others with a chance to shine.

Harte also gives the latest news on injuries to Justin McMahon, Martin Penrose and Conor Gormley:

"You have to take the rough with the smooth - that's what squads are about.

"I suppose there's maybe an opportunity for a few others that may not have been available to them. It's up to the squad now to roll up their sleeves and make the most of it, to make up for the losses we have had.

"It's a race against time for Justin. It's a hamstring injury and it's always difficult to predict a precise time. It's not a serious one, but it will be dependent on how he can perform at training next week.

"Martin hasn't been able to resume training from the Galway match. He will be in no position to start but he may be able to offer something on the day, again depending on how it goes at training next week.

"We have a few other wee niggles - dead legs and stuff like that. Conor Gormley has a knock on the ankle but it should be cleared up in time."
