Coney's season could be over

Tyrone's Kyle Cooney with Dublin's Paul Conlon.
There are fears that Kyle Coney could miss the rest of the season after it was confirmed he will need a groin operation.
The former underage star looked set to be a key man for Tyrone in this year's championship after a brilliant Allianz Football League campaign, but will now require surgery after sustaining the injury while playing for his club Ardboe against Greencastle in a league game last weekend.
He will definitely miss the Red Hands' Allianz Football League Division 2 final against Kildare on Sunday week and is facing the prospect of missing most, if not all, of the championship as well.
Coney's injury comes after another rising start - U21 captain Ronan O'Neill - ruptured his cruciate ligament and will undergo surgery next Tuesday.
