Coney ruled out

Tyrone's Kyle Cooney with Dublin's Paul Conlon.
Kyle Coney looks set to miss Tyrone's Division Two final clash with Kildare.

The Ardboe attacker suffered a groin injury during a league game against Greencastle at the weekend and is rated extremely doubtful for Sunday week's Croke Park showdown with Kieran McGeeney's men.

Tyrone PRO Damien Harvey confirmed that the player appears to have torn a muscle in his groin and will be sidelined for up to six to eight weeks, missing the league final "unless things change dramatically".

However, Coney should be back before the June 10th Ulster SFC meeting with neighbours Armagh.

Conor Gormley is another who picked up a knock at the weekend but no word is available on the extent of his injury.

Justin McMahon and Owen Mulligan also sustained slight injuries during the first round of club league games in the O'Neill County but all three are expected to be okay to face Kildare.
