Tyrone's Colm Cavanagh will miss most of the national football league due to injury.

Midfielder Cavanagh - younger brother of Former Footballer of the Year, Sean - was stretchered off during the first half of the McKenna Cup final win over Derry.

And X-rays have revealed that he suffered broken ribs in a collision, which will rule him out of action for between six and eight weeks.

He could return for the O'Neill County's final Division Two clash, against neighbours Monaghan, on Easter Sunday, April 8th. Tweet
