Strabane U14s lose to Gortin

Strabane travelled on a bitterly cold morning to Gortin hoping for a win, but came away with a lesson in discipline which cost them the game.
The first half saw a very promising Strabane team take points and goals and hold their own with a very good Gortin side. Scores from the 2 Drags Gartland and Mc Cauley also a brace of points from Tony Mc Mullen and Poric McCay had Strabane reaching the half away stage 5 points up
The second half brought a change of fortune after the dismissal of one of the prominent players for 2 yellow cards and from this Gortin came back into the game using a skilful extra man .The final blow for Strabane came when Darragh Gartland had to be substituted due to an injury .
By this stage Gortin had stamped their authority on the game and left Strabane chasing the leaders . sterling defending by Hayden Mc Namee kept Strabane
