Derby defeat Harte to take...

February 08, 2010

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte
Mickey Harte was unimpressed by Tyrone's Division One defeat to neighbours Derry.

The Ulster champions were mauled by the new-look Oak Leafers in Celtic Park on Saturday night, leaving the O'Neill County boss down in the dumps:

"You don't like getting beaten, but that's what happens when the other team plays better than you. And you're not going to win many matches when you concede 1-18.

"Derry were quite prolific but I believe there was a stage in the first half when we had a lot of possession and didn't make it count.

"We dropped eight short. I wouldn't like to see eight in two games, never mind eight in one half of one game. But we have to accept that we did that.

"It will go down in history that we were beaten - and well beaten - on the night and that Derry played the better football."
