The launch of 'The Spirit of Carmen' will take place in the Patrician Hall on 6th March at 8pm. Through this fundraising scheme the club will embark on a 5 - 7 year programme of development which will see us build on our past successes and push forward towards new ones. The first night of the Fundamental Skills programme last week was a resounding success with a large turnout of parents and children. An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg G.A.C. Notes
Dinner Dance & Presentation Night
Members and friends of An Mhaigh G.A.C. came together in the Ryandale, Moy last Friday for our Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation Night. It turned out to be another very enjoyable occasion, and credit must go to Mary Daly and those who helped organise and plan for this very important event in our club calendar.
Among the distinguished guests at this year's all-ticket affair were current President of the Ulster GAA Council Tom Daly, former President of the GAA Padraig McFlynn, Moy senior team manager Mattie McGleenan, Rev Fr John Hughes, and Tyrone senior stars Sean Cavanagh and Philip Jordan.
Following dinner and an impassioned speech from our club Chairman Peter McKearney, M.C. Mickey Kavanagh once again presided over the presentations in his usual outstanding fashion. Award winners on the night were: Ashlene McCann (Ladies Senior Player of the Year); James Devlin (Reserve Player of the Year); Kevin Cavanagh and Mary Daly (Hall of Fame); Francie McQuade (Club Person of the Year); and Tomás McNicholl (Senior Player of the Year).
Others were acknowledged for the contributions they made in 2009, including Moy referee Simon Brady and club members Geraldine Fox and Sinéad McNicholl who each received special presentations. A great night was brought to an end with dancing to the music of popular band Black Diamond and a unique individual act by our playing member Talal Jomar.

As a reward for their generosity, all our individual and business members of Club Tír na nÓg were entered into a prize draw which was held at last weekend's Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation Night in the Ryandale, Moy.

Eilis O'Neill & Anne Conlon - Unsung Heroes
Congratulations to Eilis O'Neill and Anne Conlon who are An Mhaigh G.A.C.'s Unsung Heroes for the month of February. Fervent supporters of all club activities, both on and off the field of play, these two respected and well-liked sisters are probably best known for their long-standing involvement with ladies football in the Moy.
Along with Pat Murren back in 1999, Eilis and Anne were responsible for the establishment of ladies football in this part of Tyrone. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength with the numbers of underage players increasing steadily every year. Ladies football has become an integral part of An Mhaigh G.A.C. and that is due in no small part to the dedication and ongoing efforts of our latest unsung heroes.
As well as carrying out administrative duties, the pair have also served as County Board delegates and attended countless meetings for the betterment of ladies football in the Moy. The O'Neill and Conlon families are all heavily involved in the club, and Eilis and Anne's continued support and enthusiasm for gaelic games make them worthy winners of this month's accolade.
If you would like to nominate anyone for our club's Unsung Hero of the Month, please contact myself or any member of the club committee. Please state the name of the person who you wish to nominate and the reason for your choice.

Cill Iseal Naomh Mhuire
The preparations for the club Celebration Banquet on Saturday 27th February in the Armagh City Hotel are gathering speed. A great nights entertainment is anticipated with plans being made to recognise the following and more; Ladies football in Cill Iseal reaching somewhat of a mile-stone in 10 very successful years in existence, not least last season which delivered an U-16 Grade 1 League and Championship double, U-18 Grade 1 Championship and a Senior Intermediate League and Championship double thus gaining promotion to the Senior grade for the first time. Kevin Hughes also had a 2009 to remember and his brilliant performances that seen him pick up some prestigious awards will also be a main feature of the event. 'Hub' has always been a fine ambassador for our club throughout his career and it would be fitting that we all turn out in large numbers to remember his achievements in his finest year in the Tyrone colours to date. Getting in on the act as well our U-16 boys deservedly claimed some silverware for their efforts winning a Leauge title with some thrilling performances along the way. There will also be various presentations on the night including, Players of the Year for Mens and Ladies teams etc. Some other points of note are; there will be a wine/soft-drinks reception, 3-course meal, live band and dress code will be Black-tie. So for all Cill Iseal gaels, past players and members and anyone from neighbouring clubs and further afield, certainly an evening not to be missed. Order forms are now available for ticket requests. More details to follow soon or see club web-site or also contact Brendan Raferty on 028 877 69395.

The new envelope tickets are proving to be a great success in their opening weeks, though organisers would like to remind sellers to try and convert all coins collected to paper notes where possible prior to handing in receipts. Ticket sales continue to rise although a couple of areas in the parish still are not being covered, namely Goland Rd and the Aughnagar Rd. Anyone who would be interested in selling in these areas, or anyone who thinks they could sell a few tickets at their place of work or outside the parish etc. please contact any committee member.
