O'Neill removed by ambulance during McKenna decider
January 30, 2010

An ambulance was needed.
A serious arm injury suffered by Tyrone's Stephen O'Neill was the main talking point after Donegal's Barrett Sportlighting Dr McKenna Cup final win in Enniskillen.
The ace attacker caught his arm on the ground after colliding with team mate Kevin Hughes during the second half of Donegal's 1-11 to 0-13 win this evening. Play was held up for ten minutes while O'Neill received treatment and he was removed from the ground by ambulance.
On first impression it appeared that he had suffered a serious arm break but following the final whistle, members of the Tyrone camp said they believed it to be a dislocated elbow.
If that is the case O'Neill could face anything between two and three months out of competitive action, ruling him out of most, if not all, of the O'Neill County's national football league campaign.
