Harte facing selection dilemma

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte
Mickey Harte admits he has some tough calls to make regarding who to leave in and who to leave out of his National League squad. The task of trimming the panel has been made all the more difficult for the Tyrone manager by some sparkling displays by his McKenna Cup rookies. Speaking to the Irish News ahead of tonight's McKenna Cup semi-final against Fermanagh, he said: "There's still a lot of questions to be considered. "There are a lot of players performing well at times, and needing a wee bit of doing better at other times, but we'll have to really assess the whole thing over a period of games." And even though it would increase his selection headache, Harte is hoping Tyrone can progress to this weekend's McKenna Cup final to afford players another chance to stake claims. "I would like to last five games in this McKenna Cup, and if we can, then we will have to really reflect on the five games. We have video footage of all of them and it will be a case of adding up the efforts over those games, and the time the players got. "We will be considering the quality of opposition they were up against at those times and we are going to have to make some decisions then."
