EGLISH ST. PATRICK'S
Dinner Dance:
The annual dinner dance was held with St. Patrick's Camogie Club last Saturday night in the Armagh City Hotel. The underage shields won during 2009 were on display alongside the cups won by our Camogie counterparts. The following were honoured with the annual awards: Senior Player of the Year, Brendan Donnelly; Reserve Player of the Year, Gerard McLoughlin; Minor Player of the Year, Paul McElroy; Club Person of the Year, Ciaran McVeigh. Congratulations to all those who received awards.
An Eaglais Le Cheile:
The quarterly draw for An Eaglais Le Cheile took place on Saturday at the dinner dance. Winners were as follows: £100, Seamus Donnelly; £50, Joe Murtagh; £50, Fearghal McNulty.
Youth Football:
Underage training has began for Under 14's and Under 16's and continues as per arranged times.
Scor Sinsear 2010:
Eglish competed in Scor Sinsear at the weekend and were successful in the Ballad Group, Novelty Act and Question Time sections. Well done to all who took part in all categories. The next round is the Tyrone semi-final and will be held in Eglish Sports Hall on Friday 5th February.
Club Membership:
Club Membership for 2010 is currently being collected by Club Registrar Sean Byrne. Membership can be paid at the Sports Hall on Saturday night at 8.15p.m. and Sunday morning at 10.45a.m. Membership costs for this year are as follows: Adults £30, O.A.P. £5, Students £10, Youth (Under 16) £10. All senior and reserve players must have their membership paid before 31st January.
First Aid Course:
A first aid course has been arranged for Thursday 18th February at 7.30p.m.. All underage managers, coaches and helpers are asked to attend. This course is being organized with St. Patrick's Camogie Club.
Club Lotto:
Winning numbers for Monday 11th January were 2, 6, 9 and 20. There were six Match 3 winners; Michelle Muldoon, Bridget Muldoon, Ciaran McVeigh (twice), Brenda Fox and Patrick Daly. This week's jackpot is £ 3,700.
Tickets are available from committee members and at the following outlets: McCann's Shop, Barrett's Concrete, Eglish Builder's Merchants, Jim Daly's Filling Station, Scissor Sisters and the Ryandale.
Club Leisurewear:
Club gear including jerseys, shorts, socks, beanie hats, hoodies and the 2010 Club Calendar are still available for anyone who wishes to purchase them. Contact Liz Daly for any of the items listed.
Gym Facilities:
The gym is open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Opening hours are 6.00p.m. to 9.00p.m. Admission £ 3.50. Ladies Box-ercise classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8.00p.m. to 9.00p.m.
Congratulations:
Congratulations to Cookstown footballers who progressed to the All Ireland Intermediate Club Final; to Naomh Colmcille hurlers who qualified for the All Ireland Junior Club Final; and to Emyvale footballers who won their All Ireland Junior Club Quarter Final match at the weekend.
All Ireland Talent Show:
Best of luck to Pauric Daly and his group 'Chasing Hooley' who are competing in the All Ireland Talent Show on RTE One this Sunday night at 6.30p.m. Chasing Hooley is representing the North and will be performing against competitors from each of the other regions.
