Omagh St Enda's GAC Notes
November 18, 2009
Bingo continues at 9pm in Healy Park every Thursday with ¬£4000 in prizemoney, including the usual ¬£1000 house, two ¬£500 houses and many more useful prizes. Big bingo will return again on Thursday 10th December. Well done to the U14 team who got to the final of their competition in Ballyshannon last Sunday. Good luck to all the Scor na nìg finalists this Sunday in Coalisland. Your support would be appreciated. Good luck also to the Omagh CBS Rannafast team and the St Enda's players who compete in the Rannafast final next week. Gaelic Start continues on Saturday in the CBS sports hall from 10am to 11.30am. All P1, P2 and P3 boys are still welcome to come along and join in the fun. All club members, past and present, are invited to take part in a new indoor hurling initiative commencing on Wednesday 25th November from 7-8pm in Omagh CBS sports hall. 'Hurl-In' is a new fun activity aimed at adults and the specially adapted rules involving mini-hurls means that anyone can take part. It is a good way of keeping fit over the winter months and participants do not need to have previous hurling ability to take part. Anyone interested should contact Dominic McClements on 07725351643 ASAP in order to enroll. The lotto winners were C McElhatton, P McConomy, C Young and P McCaskie with the numbers 6, 13, 20, 27, and 29. Could all members please return their lotto tickets on Wednesday evening? The jackpot now stands at ¬£5000 and is a prize well worth winning. The club are campaigning to engage more members to play the club lotto and hope to visit members to enlist their support over the coming weeks. In addition we are appealing to anyone who has yet to sign up for the lotto to please come along to the club this Friday from 8-9.30pm. Many thanks to the people who have signed up to date. There is big night of craic and entertainment ahead with ÄúDeal or No DealÄù in the club on Saturday 28th November at 9pm. Everyone will have an opportunity to take part with a draw for the boxes at 9pm. Recently the clubrooms have been used more and more for private parties/birthdays/anniversaries etc and have been getting excellent feedback. If you have a party coming up and would like details please contact a committee member. It is free for club members and is a good way to support the club. A date for your diary is Sat 30th January when the dinner dance will be held in the Mellon. Also big plans are underway to hold this years Boxing Day match at a later time so that everyone can make a night of it at the club afterwards. Details are to follow. If anyone would like items from the club shop for Christmas they are asked to telephone Vicky O'Hagan (07845898306) or Sean McAnulla (0793928771). Sincere sympathy is expressed to the McGale, Colton and Mimnagh families on their recent bereavements.
