A Garvaghey Patron, Pátrun Gharbh Achaidh is someone who commits to give £5,000 to the Garvaghey project. Being a Garvaghey Patron represents a major commitment to both the GAA and to Tyrone. We'll mark that commitment in modest but meaningful ways. There to give the occasion a send off were Ulster President Tom Daly, Tyrone manager Mickey Harte, Antrim ladies' football captain Geraldine McCann and county footballers Shane McCabe, Marty McGrath and Barry Owens. Hosting the occasion was UGAAWA chairman Jerry Quinn, along with other members of the writers' association. As usual, the highlight of the evening will be the naming of the Annual Award winners in men and women's football, hurling, camogie, handball, refereeing, communications, Young Achiever, Personality of the Year and Services to the GAA. The winners will be presented with their Belleek China trophies plus other awards. Fear a Tí will be Austin O'Callaghan from BBC and brief video highlights of the season will be shown. Rounding off the celebrations there will be dancing to Ronnie Griffiths & American Pie and during the evening a charity ballot will be organised in aid of Autism and the Alzheimer's Society. Eglish and Loughmacrory are relegated to Division 2 in 2010. Following a Division 1 Relegation / Division 2 Promotion Playoff Kildress retain Division 1 status while Moortown remain in Division 2. Cookstown are promoted to Division 1 in 2010 as Division 2 League and Intermediate Championship winners. Greencastle are promoted to Division 1 as Division 2 league runners up Killyman and Stewartstown are relegated to Division 3 in 2010.
