McConnell ready to resume

Tyrone's Pascal McConnell
Pascal McConnell has handed Tyrone a major boost by returning from a six-month injury lay-off. McConnell, whose late save from Kerry's Declan O'Sullivan in last year's All-Ireland final is the stuff of Tyrone folklore, played his first game last weekend since dislocating his kneecap during training last January. He lined out for Newtownstewart in their 0-10 each draw with Drumragh in a league clash, and is expected to provide cover from John Devine in Sunday week's Ulster SFC semi-final against Derry. Johnny Curran has been sub-goalkeeper to Devine in McConnell's absence.
