Updates from the Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's, Brackaville, Ardboe, St Macartan's Ladies and An Clochar Éire Óg, An Baile Nua, Gleann Eallaigh, Charrig Mhor Eire Ogs, Stewartstown Harps, Aireagal Chiarain, Edendork St Malachy's GAC, Trillick St Macartan's GAC and An Chárraig Mhór clubs. Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's SENIOR/RESERVE FOOTBALL The Seniors claimed an important win in Tattyreagh yesterday defeating the home-side on a scoreline of 3-13 to 2-7. The concession of a goal in each half meant that the game was never completely out of reach for the Tatts until the final 10 minutes when Derrylaughan up the tempo to finish strong. Thanks to Tattyreagh for the refreshments served after the game in their impressive new club house. The victory has guaranteed the Barry's division 2 football for next year. In what has been a mixed season, the players can now look forward to a well earned break in the knowledge that there is plenty of potential in this team to figure prominently in 2009. 2 fixtures are still remaining on the calendar, the first of which sees us scheduled to travel to the Rock this Saturday (8th) for a 2pm throw-in. The final fixture against Moy has yet to be confirmed. Your response is valued and all responses are due in by this Friday 7th. FAREWELL Best of wishes to our (ex) club secretary & player Paddy Coary who, for some strange reason, has swapped the lovely surroundings of the loughshore for the much less glamorous Bondi Beach in Sydney. Paddy has embarked on a 2nd trip down under and the club would like to wish him all the best on his travels and also thank him for his tireless efforts as secretary in a very demanding year. Good luck! LOTTO Lotto numbers drawn for 2nd November were 2, 4, 16 & 19. The jackpot now stands at a nice £2,000. Brackaville Football A disappointing weekend of football for the roes as the U16s lost their championship replay to Trillick on saturday morning in loughmacrory, the lads played well but missed chances and no luck on the day proved to be the difference, in the end getting beat by a 4 point margin. Then on sunday the U13 side travelled to Greencastle for their Decider and again an 8 point lead midway through the second half just wasn't enough as the referee blew time the 1 point difference could be seen in the disappointment in the brackaville players.   Lotto This weeks lotto numbers were 3, 12, 14 and 19 there was no jackpot winner with Phil Morgan matching 3. The committee and members offer their deepest sympathies so the Donaghy, McGrath, McSloy and Hannah families on their recent bereavements Ardboe Lotto numbers for Friday 31st October were 2, 3, 17, 27.  Three match 3 winners.  Jackpot now ¬£4000. A dramatic comeback saw Ardboe claim their first grade 1 minor football championship in 10 years on Saturday in Galbally.  Playing sercond fiddle to a rampant Omagh team, Ardboe went in a half time trailing 1-7 - 0-2.  Despite being reduced to 14 men late in the first half Omagh started were they had left off with an early second half point to leave Ardboe trailing by 9.  Seemingly chasing a lost cause this young Rossa side had other ideas and when Kyle Coney set up Substitute Kieran Robinson for a 56th minute goal Ardboe were back in contention.  With Kyle Coney pulling the strings of the square the same player hit the winning score on 62 minutes much to the jubilation of a large Ardboe following.  Scorers - Kyle Coney 0-6, Kieran Robinson 1-0, Mark Quinn 0-1, Shea McGuigan 0-1, Gavin Teague 0-1, Stephen O'Shea 0-1.  The Committee and members of Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and effort made by all involved in the minor squad and management of Enda Bell, Kevin Teague & Gavin Devlin this year.  Thanks also to all sponsors who helped by bags and tracksuits and post match meal for the lads on county final day. The seniors made the long trip to Dromore on Sunday for round 12 of the A.C.L.  Played in near perfect conditions Dromore took an early 0-3 - 0-1 lead, but by the 20th minute Ardboe had edged in front with points from the McGuigan brothers and Kyle Coney.  With Dromore still in the hunt for league honours they were never going to go away easy and by half time the sides were level at 0-7 a piece.  Five unanswered points early in the second half left Ardboe an uphill task, but Tommy McGuigan goal midway through the half took Ardboe back into contention.  A late John McConville point took us within 1 score of our opponents but Dromore held out adding 1 point of their own to win on a score line of 0-15 - 1-10.
